KURA ORA,

 My name is Stanislas LEOU and I am currently a tattoo artist at Tagaloa Tattoo for almost 5 years now. I have the privilege to work under the guidance of Makalio Folituu, a prominent figure in the world of tattooing. Through his vast knowledge and skills in the Polynesian triangle motif, I am constantly perfecting my craft and living my culture through the essence of tattooing.

My tattooing journey started back in 2018, alongside my friend Burns Paul, who is also a talented tattoo artist. He introduced me to the world of tattooing, and with his help, I was able to join Tagaloa Tattoo and be mentored by the great artist, Makalio Folituu. Knowing nothing about this industry, I was introduced to various tattoo styles such as international, different Polynesian island styles, tribal Polynesian, modern Polynesian, custom Polynesian, Samoan, Maori, Wallis and Futuna, Tongan, and Fijian.

Through this art form, I discovered the importance of cultural identity for each ethnicity and the respect for every culture. Sharing and communicating through tattooing, each group could represent and tell their stories in their own way and permanently mark it on their skin.

Personally, this is how my love for tattooing was born and up to this day, I am honored to be able to help people travel through the art of tattooing and feel the mana of our ancestors, right on their skin!
